Making A Purchase

Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.

Illustrations, descriptions, weight and measurements shall be taken by the Buyer as a guide only and are not binding in detail. TrailerTek, without notice, reserves the right to make changes to any specifcations as it sees fit.

When confirmation of order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.

Shipping And Handling

  • Orders can be delivered to the delivery address of your choice. However, the card holders address must be completed as well
  • UK Mainland orders over £65 inc. VAT are delivered free of charge (England , Wales & Scottish Lowlands)
  • UK Mainland orders under £65 are subject to a shipping charge calculated automatically at checkout by consignment wight, shipping location and service chosen
  • Orders made outside of UK Mainland are subject to a shipping charge calculated automatically at checkout by consignment wight, shipping location and service chosen
  • We do not ship to BFPO addresses or P.O. boxes
  • Saturday Delivery (England, Wales & Scottish Lowlands only) is subject to a carrier charge of £18.00
  • Items over 1.25m. long, such as lighting boards and tandem mudguares, are subject to a shipping surcharge of £15 inc. VAT which is added at the checkout
  • Large heavy items such as beam axles are excluded from our shipping calculator, please phone for carriage costs

Delivery Schedule

  • All products are subject to availability.
  • Orders are processed daily and despatched within 48 hrs. Monday-Friday, no dispatch or delivery Saturday, Sunday or Bank Holidays. We have a 1.00 p.m. cut off time- orders received after this time may not be despatched until the following day. Due to bank payment processing and security checks, your order may take as long as an hour to reach us.
  • Orders are delivered by Interlink, Parcel Force and Royal Mail, the driver will require a signature. If this is not possible we can despatch to an alternative address.
  • If the delivery cannot be made, a card is left and you will have to collect from your local depot within 3 days otherwise the carriers will return the consignment to us which will incur an additional shipping charge.
  • Christmas Holidays 2016: we close for our annual shut down from Friday 17 December at 5:00 pm and re-open on Tuesday 3 January at 09:00. Orders will not be shipped during this time.

Back Orders

If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you and send as soon as it is available.

Tax Charges

For orders made from the UK, 20% VAT is added.

Credit Card Security

When the order is placed at our website, credit card numbers are encrypted using 128 bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any web site.

TrailerTek do not disclose buyers' information to third parties other than when order details are processed as part of the order fulfilment. In this case, the third party will not disclose any of the details to any other third party.

Cookies are used on this shopping site to keep track of the contents of your shopping cart, to store delivery addresses if the address book is used and to store your details if you select the 'Remember Me' Option. They are also used after you have logged on as part of that process. You can turn off cookies within your browser by going to 'Tools | Internet Options | Privacy' and selecting to block cookies. If you turn off cookies, you will be unable to place orders or benefit from the other features that use cookies.

Returns Policy

We are confident that you will be happy with your purchases. However, in accordance with good practice you are entitled to cancel your order at anytime up to seven working days after the date of delivery.

Any goods that are damaged when you receive them must be reported to us within 24 hours (or next working day).

Any goods that are missing from the delivery must be reported to us within 24 hours (or next working day).

Beam Axles and Special order items that are ordered in from manufacturers are non-returnable. We will not be able to accept these items back for credit or exchange.

All items supplied by the meter such as cables, door trim, reflective tape, elastic cord cannot be returned for refund.

If we have correctly supplied the product as ordered by you then we will reimburse the product costs minus a handling charge of 15% of the order value. Please note that you will also be responsible for the return carriage charges and also our costs for delivering "carriage paid" orders.

If you have notified us of a problem with the goods within 7 days of delivery, we will either make good any shortage or non-delivery; replace or repair any goods that are damaged or defective upon delivery; or refund to you the amount paid by you for the goods in question. We shall have no liability to pay any money to you by way of compensation other than any refund we make under these conditions. Our liability to you shall not in any event include losses related to any business of yours, such as loss of profits or business interruption, neither will we be responsible to you for any other loss which is not a foreseeable consequence of us being in breach of these Terms and Conditions or our legal duties.

Goods are intended for use in the UK only and we cannot confirm that the goods comply with any laws, regulations or other standards applicable outside the UK. All goods are sold in accordance with the manufacturer’s specifications and are subject to any qualifications, representations or instructions contained in the documentation associated with the goods.

You need to contact TrailerTek by telephone, email or FAX if you wish to return goods beyond the seven day period.

When you return goods to us, you are responsible for ensuring that they are in the original packaging and in sale-able condition. TrailerTek cannot be held responsible for loss or damage so we recommend that you obtain a "Proof of Posting" receipt from the Post Office or courier. All returns must include a copy of the invoice or clearly identify the invoice number.

On receipt of goods by TrailerTek, you will be given a full refund of all monies paid minus any carriage charges that we have incurred in delivering, and this may take up to 30 days.
